Back in the early 2000s, Blizzard was working on a third person shooter in the StarCraft universe titled StarCraft Ghost. This isn’t the first StarCraft shooter to be canceled by the company either. ![]() Nothing else is currently known about what the game could have been. Apparently, there was work being done to make the Zerg playable in some way as well. ![]() The game would have put players in the role of a Terran marine as they fight against the alien species, and one of the major factions in StarCraft, Zerg. According to Kotaku’s sources, the game was codenamed Ares and had been in development for the past two years.
